The Grotto cabinet was designed to feel as if it were situated in a little cave shrine only accessible by boat. The wood is ebonized quarter-sawn white oak. The doors are made from metal reclaimed from an old piece of metal roofing with a hand-forged root design. The handle is a manzanita burl. The sides are made from tulip poplar bark and include stabilized moss and lichen.
